I dunno. I love "Let's Get Lost". Love it so much. And "Twin Infinitives" is just a cool mindfuck- it's where audio goes to die. Otherwise this band bores me a whole lot.
Not the crap, yes the boring.

I am sure.

103It turns out that I was quite correct regarding the "performance" as some people got back to me regarding the show I worked at. I guess they were brought here at the request of Urge Overkill, which makes it even funnier.

104Always like this band.
Saw them many times and always thought they were fun live.
Remember one early show at CBGBs where they were on stage playing through little Gorilla practice amps. With the PA it sounded realy loud but the image of them making this huge noise with a tiny practice amp miked still cracks me up.

actually the newest hex album is more accessible and straightforward than any trux stuff by far.

106I'm always open to giving a band a chance if I don't have to buy anything. At least when they sucked, they sucked really badly.

107I think Neil Haggerty is a stand-up dude, or at least he became one after a period of indulged indulgence, and he was a valuable foil to Jon Spencer and Julie in Pussy Galore.
I saw Royal Trux play very early in their existence, and heard quite a few recordings however, and everything I heard live or recorded was slapdick crap of the sort made without applying any rigor or diligence to the music before it is made. I hated it then and I never think about it now, so it must have been pretty bad.
But I have a pretty high regard for Neil.
