This is my last day in this office, so I’ve my headphones on to prevent disruption as I work through a mountain of work. I feel compelled to take a break to write this though, as I have just realised that the extended track of low, mournful, wind howling, which I’d taken to be a perfect interlude to the record, one that I had mysteriously not noticed in my two earlier idle listens, is actually in fact the keening of circulation in the adjacent stair well, which runs 39 floors down and one floor up. The record finished five or ten minutes ago.

awesome.

If you have not yet heard, also check out Fennesz Plays. Only two songs, but very well done.

I took that NyQuil derivative. Isn't that shit supposed to put you to sleep and have comparable effects to horse tranquilizers and all? I did not sleep well and felt totally drugged to boot (and not in a good way). I had weird sex dreams and tossed and turned. Now I'm awake, I still can't breathe correctly, and now I feel like my muscles have weights attached.

I have a super bad reaction to NyQuil- it makes me feel really crazy, can't sleep, really sick for about a day after I take it. It has something to do with the way your liver metabolizes the ingredients.

Found out today that my nickname at the private girls' school I've been at for my last placement is 'the wild thing'...not entirely sure why, but it sure as hell beats that various, unimaginative plays on my surname I had at the last place (Dodder, Doddy, Noddy etc.)

Finish placement there tomorrow, all I have is a sixth form lesson in which all six of the class have a crush on me (according to another teacher)...makes for a weird atmosphere in lessons.

I am now three weeks away from Qualified Teacher Status, assuming I pass my final assignment.
