These guys were playing in the background of every party scene in late 90s comedies that involved late teens or early twenty somethings.
That's a pretty impressive feat if you think about it.

They're all just "cooler" by varying degrees, depending on who you talk to.
To be honest, I started to listen to punk music in the 7th grade or so because of bands like these. That is, it was nancy pop music that turned me on to punk. Bands like Superchunk and Get up Kids get/got tossed in the indie/punk scene but they're nothing more than pop bands.
Now, I'm older and I'm not as cool, but I think it's cool to like this band. I dig'em.
