Also, coming off the back of that show at Villette Sonique, right now I'd remortgage my house for more shows like that in the UK. I've seen a few Shellac shows over the years but that one was the best by some distance. Not just because of the lovely Parisian folk, the band were on fire.


Fuckin ey. That's exactly what I thought when I saw the price/line up. The only drawback to going to Paris was that now I REALLY hate London crowds. Those Parisians seem to have a novel approach to music spectatorship- go along and enjoy yourself!

It's funny because I think exactly the contrary.
I went to the gig at London Scala in 2004. I thought that the crowd was nicer than the French crowds.

Plus, y'know. It's fucking London.

Ha! That's funny. I've never seen Shellac in London without being pissed off by some dickhead constantly talking. I dunno, maybe I've just been unlucky.

The time it takes from one side of London to the other, Paris is like a suburb anyway. Except, you know, a lot nicer than Croydon.

I went to see Shellac in Wrocław. I was forced to push some drunken moshers around pretty violently. Normally, I change my place. But this was a Shellac gig, and I was standing in front of Todd. And they were all smaller than me, so they were the ones in troubles, not me.

Simply just go and see them, if you have a realistic chance.

yeah, I saw them in Buenos Aires earlier this year and they fuckin' blew my mind. I was saying that is expensive from a perspective of myself, a south american dude, 40+ dollars for a gig sounds way expensive for us 3rd worlders.

Just sayin you know, since I'm planning my trip over the there so it looks i need to save a lots lots lots of money.
