Someone else here mentioned doing one offs from Chicago to NYC. We've done that twice, and we also had a similar one to Piccoman's Phili to Chapel Hill journey except ours was Fayetteville, NC to NYC. That was probably the longest drive we've had between shows with no day off in between.

Come to think of it, that really sucked because we drove from Lexington, KY that morning to Fayetteville, which was a long ass ride. We then played what I'll call here the "most interesting" show we've ever done, got immediately back in the van and drove to NYC where we were playing the next day.

I did once drive straight through from Pittsburgh back to Chicago after a short weekend of shows type of thing. Finished the show got in the van and headed back. At one point I ran over a raccoon that someone else had already run over somewhere in Ohio. I can't remember exactly but I think that took somewhere around 9 hours. That was, I think, the longest drive I've ever made without someone else taking a turn. Overall though I'm more comfortable driving because of the other 3 guys in my band I only trust one of them to drive. The other two... not so much.
