where should I move?

I live in Denver. There is a lot of music. Lots of restaurants. Lots of art. Semi-decent mass transit. A little far from the rest of civilization. Woo- go Denver!

I love Minneapolis/St. Paul, have good friends there and have thought of moving there myself. That's a good destination from WI. (too bad Milwaukee isn't a little awesomer)

I don't know about the midwest, but everyone here, like 20 people I know, have moved to Portland in the last year. I have a feeling the place is going to get over run.

Ha! I know tons of people who have moved from here to Seattle. There is also an insane Portland/Fort Collins connection.

Regarding STF: Every New Englander--even the ones who live here by choice--I've ever come across here badmouths Colorado, be it for being to spread out, being able to get more than one item at a single store, whatever.

If I could get every Masshole to move back, I would. I'm giving you a bit of a pass, because you seem to be in Boulder, which has been a musical wasteland for a few years now.

Oh, I was addressing STF in the last two paragraphs! Oops!

Yeah, once Tulagi and Wax Trax closed, it was pretty much all over. I look at the Fox Theater listings now and can't believe that place once hosted Brainiac/US Maple.

I did that Find Your Spot quiz. Where it told me to live...imagine going to last.fm or Pandora or something, entering "Parliament", and getting Toby Keith.

As a mostly-Wisconsinite who was born in Washington/Idaho and currently lives in the Bay Area in California, I would like to opine that Portland, OR is a shithole.

I have one friend who recently moved there from Baton Rouge and loves it. However, HE'S FROM BATON ROUGE. That's like saying that the stewing pile of elephant dung that you're licking up is better than the cauldron of bat guano and gangrenous yak intestines you've just finished.

Do not move to Portland.

It was so weird about the poop getting on at Addison and sitting down in that seat, opening up a paper and grumbling about the economy. I got off at Jackson and he was still on the train, so I'm thinking maybe he was getting off at lasalle. It's all speculation though really. Who knows why poops ride the train.

Better the train than the Kennedy.

I knew of 3 people from Charleston, WV who moved to Portland. They eventually got bored and moved back home. Draw your own conclusions.
