Anyway, on to serious business -- Mesa Boogie 2X15 Diesel with one bad speaker, local pickup in WI.

Starting at 10 bucks, 0 bids, 6 more days.

Damn it, I'm going to be in Minneapolis for the next 3 days. Maybe I'll try to convince dude to sell it early. I know that's usually lame, but oh well. What would folks think is a decent price for such an item?

If there's 6 days left, and you'll be out of town for 3 days, won't you be back 3 days before the auction ends?

I'd call $250 a good price, $300 a reasonable price, since it's got a dead speaker and a new good 15" EV will run you about $200. Since this is local pickup only, it could go for as little as... $10? Probably a deal ready to be had, with the local pickup and all.

He's been advertising it on CL for over 2 weeks, and he's dropped his price a few times.

They are your average japanese vintage kit. Like a lot of other non name brand one's. They are kinda like a lawsuit guitar (but most lawsuits are pretty good, if not better). With that said, sometimes your find great japanese kits that are maple, and the maple one's are really cool and sound very good. But like this one, they are mostly mahogany. I dont mind mahogany, get nice heads and tune em up and they CAN sound good. Just make sure they are not too fucked up if at all and check for pitting and such. The sizes are nice for mahogany. I feel the bigger you go in mahogany, the sound tends to get lost or "dry" I would say. I would say go check it out, play it and talk him down to 200 bucks. One thing though is the japanese mahogany snares always sound not that great, but it is good to have just have a complete set. But you will want a different snare Im sure.
