Marsupialized i think you don't know so well Big'n...or you are not into math-rock at all
the Shorty were a great band for sure...but the Big'n were of another leauge
I have heard a lot of both bands, I saw Big'n play a few times and Shorty is just way more interesting to me, weirder stuff going on musically. Shippy is just a really fantastic guitar player all around.
I see you have got the luck to see the BIG'N...beh good for you...
in my case i never got the fortune to see these bands...but i know both the bands pretty well...the Shorty are one of the most crazy bands i heard in my life...beh all the bands on Skin Graft were a bit extreme...btw i like them...but to me the Big'n were of another level...they were tough musician...and also they were one of the best Math-Rock bands i have listened in my life...both the albums...Cuthroat and Discipline Through the Sound were excellent, (i can give a 8/9 to each record), and i can say the same about the singles..especially the first one with "Fake Santa".
The Shorty were good for sure...but in Thumb Days and in Fresh Breath i just found a couple of very good songs... "Skirts and Hells" and "Dynamite Lover"...the rest to me was just a repetition of something i heard before...ok the singer was truly original...with a crazy voice...ok...but for the rest...beh nothing of new...in some cases it's almost like to listen the TAD......btw my vote can't be more than 7 for both the albums.
