When Tutku and I first started dating, I was 32 and she was 22. It seemed questionable to me at the time, and I put thought into it and all, and did some math calculations as suggested by folks here. In the past two years, I've come to realize that the 10 year difference between us doesn't mean a whole hell of a lot, except that my hair's falling out and my back is breaking and my second chin is developing its own subchin and stuff, and she doesn't have that shit to worry about anytime soon. As far as maturity, I'd say that in some ways each of us exceeds the other, the net is a tie, and we're totally on the same page in most regards. And that's what really matters.
There's a point where it's creepy. When we were 22 and 32, I worried that I was creepy guy. At 24 and 33-soon-to-be-34, it's something I never even really consider anymore.
We're totally in the clear as far as the half+7 rule is concerned. Initially there were issues with that, but now the math is on our side.
