a)about 70 answering machines without the option of asking questions about your plan
b) when i DID reach someone, i insisted on being given this information and they just said, "no, don't worry, it's unlimited access". i pressed and pressed and that's all they'd say

now, i'm pretty sure i could have been more careful, and pressed even harder to find out, but $21,000? are they kidding?

holy shit holy shit holy shit...

I still can't get my mind around how something you did on the internet cost you 21,000. How do you do this, loading things up to sendspace? Torrents? Were you using it for work? Anyway, I hope it works out. It sounds so ridiculous, I'm almost sure it will. A wireless company can't actually think someone would pay them this.

In other news , I had an interview on Tuesday for a pretty decent job. Five hours long and five different interviewers, it was like an endurance test. It sucks having to be "switched on" for that long, I came home and crashed out exhausted. They called me today and asked if I'd come in next week for two more interviews. Seven interviews for a job? Doesn't that seem excessive? They haven't even mentioned money yet.

Man that's some fucked up shit, why would they need to fuck with someone that hard over a job?
That's insanity. 7 interviews. Nuts.
The fact that nobody down the line has stopped such a ridiculous practice does not bode well for what it'd be like being part of this company.
I bet it's filling out 5 forms and a sit down meeting to get a pen from the supply chick.

The job is to manager the work of five or so project managers, making sure everyones hitting their benchmarks, staying on budget, and liaising with other department heads to get the project managers everything they need to their jobs. Doesn't sound like a horrible gig to me. Seven interviews is a bit ridiculous though, I did four interviews for a job a couple of years ago and thought that was excessive. The thing that's killing me is that they haven't mentioned what the position is worth. They also haven't mentioned a drug test, but I'm prepared this time so no big deal.

I was hired to start a job with the dept. of labor back in March, and I'm still waiting to hear an actual start date. They've been saying they'll know next for about two months now. That job sounded great and I really like the salary and location, so I'm hoping it comes through, but I'm not counting on it anymore. Hence the seven interviews at the consulting firm.

So cool!

I'm a dork about birds, especially raptors. That spreading of the wings to hide the kill is called mantling. Those both look like juvenile males, just judging from the size (females are much larger than males) and the coloring.

Great idea but although it has crossed my mind more times than it should, I have yet to own a top hat. Also, I have a couple of canes but they are not of the formal variety.

The best thing about getting them from the tux shop is that you get to keep the hat and the cane. I am sure there will be plenty of times in my life where a top hat and cane will be useful if not necessary.

What kind? I had a Boss looper (one of the white ones) and could just never get the feel of it.

Paid 125, pretty much brand new. I figured it out real quick. Love it. I will definitely be playing more guitar at shows from now on.
I never got the hang of the footswitch. I hate the Boss footswitch...too much give.

Found out I have a corneal ulcer in my right eye. I am taking antibiotic drops every hour, plus drops to dilate my pupil every 4 hours. Check this shit:
