DIY speaker cab resource?

I just got done building my own speaker cabinet. It was my first cabinet and it sounds great. If you are building an open back cabinet, you can pretty much choose whatever dimensions you want, it doesn't seem to affect the tone that much from my experience.
I got the wood from Home Depot. I used select pine for the box and birch ply for the baffle. I bought a table router for about $150 and learned how to make box joints on a few pieces of scrap wood. Once you make a good jig you are set.
The grain of the wood looked so good that I didn't cover it in tolex and applied brush on Lacquer to the outside. I bought all of the amp hardware at Mojotone.com. The speakers I got from Weber. IMO the speakers are the most important part of the equation. Spend alot of time researching what you think you need and don't cut corners on the speakers. I ended up choosing two alnico speakers, one 10" and 12". I picked two speakers that compliment each other well... one is a Vox style with more upper mid presence and the other is a little warmer with extended low end. FYI, if you don't want to spend the money on a router and mess around with making box joints, you can just do a butt joint and cover the thing with tolex, no one will know the difference. Just reinforce the inside a little better.

I couldn't be happier building the thing myself. Its well worth the effort when you have a finished product you are proud of. I have already gotten the "What kind of amp is that?" at the few shows I have played with it.
