I remember seeing her on The Late show (high and mighty arts TV slot) back when she was a jazz singer, and way before she was the household name she is now.
The interviewer said something like 'you've got a good voice, are you ever tempted to get out of the low recognition world of jazz, and make lots of money as an R&B singer?'
She went into a long rant about not selling out her artistic integrity just for the money, and that jazz was where her heart was, she would never do R&B. I thought at the time, shes just as jazz singer as she is too fugly to be a pop act. How wrong we both were....

The emphysema that she might have will be debilitating. It will transcend any awesomeness she may have had in her fame. She is in for some torture. That unquestionably sucks. I feel bad for her. She is going to lose horribly.

Amy has some long bucks and fame. She should be able to get some 14 year old fresh lungs and a transplant when she needs it.
