try this:
have both the ac adapter and the battery installed.
pull out the dc plug from the laptop.
did it turn off?
laptops are kind of like battery backups in this manner. The battery, if installed is what the laptop draws from, while the AC adapter serves to recharge the battery in real time.

15my macbook's battery is fucked up for the second time. for no reason it just stopped working after like a month of light use. the first time they replaced it for free. this time i havent had time to call. i just keep it plugged in. its annoying.
