A Neumann U47 is positioned directly in front of his face. Dandy proceeds to perform the 'keeper' vocal take on the song "High and Dry," for Black Oak Arkansas' 4th studio album, _High on the Hog_.

Ugh. This reminds me that Black Oak Arkansas have just played or are about to play a show with some irritating local hipster garage bands at a bar here. Jim Dandy appears to have some sort of residency at another bar a few blocks from my house, as he plays there every Wednesday night. I have not braved any of these performances, nor do I plan to. Terrible crap band/guy.

67. Curtis Mayfield is paralyzed by a falling lighting rig during a 1990 concert.

66. April 1, 1984: Marvin Gaye is murdered by his father.

65. May 18, 1980: Ian Curtis hangs himself. This one should be near the top of the list, really.

Didn't want to muck up the list, but figured you guys would enjoy this. In a corporate video I'm editing right now, for a huge Silicon Valley Co., their CEO says in an interview that his two favorite songs of all time are "Joy to the World" by Three Dog Night, and "Wipeout". I resist the urge to stab a pen into my jugular in front of the client and continue editing.
