I went to see a pretty big band the other night. And I really respect the guitar player. And I've recorded him and he has a really nice collection of stuff.

For the first time ever he busted out a PRS. I couldn't believe it! What's he thinking?

I thought this guy was pretty cool.

Meticulously done "emo" stage wear, up to and including the wrist band-aid.
Swag from the local "nu-rock" station.
Sponsorship from same.
"Soulful" blues-guitar noodling before the set.
Gold hardware.
Banjos.
Anything rastafauxian.
Any utterance of the term "jam-friendly" from the guitar player during load-in.

I'm sorry but banjos are awesome.

Double kick pedals are awesome. Double kick drums even more so.

Headset microphones, while ugly as sin, are sometimes necessary for drummers that want to scream and not have to deal w/ a mic stand - But the real value is that they also provide immense entertainment between songs as the crowd & the band members bag on the poor drummer wearing one - as my band can attest.
