I certainly don't want to set myself up as a champion of the 'Smith, but I was talking the great Wink O'Bannon last time I was in Louisville, and he agreed with me that "Mama Kin" (from Aerosmith's debut) is the equal of anything on either New York Dolls record--except "Vietnamese Baby."

Brett Eugene Ralph, I cannot agree with this. Not only do I strongly dislike "Mama Kin", but I thoroughly enjoy that first Dolls album (and the second one is pretty good too).

We have omitted "1985: Peter Hook wears sweatpants with zippered pockets onstage, vigorously humps bass guitar". I'm pretty sure that should be near the top...

I do not disagree with Peel dying being #1 on this list, but my vote for #1 would be Ian Curtis dying, despite the fact that I placed it in the 50s or 60s on this list, and in spite of how much I love New Order.

I'm probably the only person who thinks Dwayne Goettel ODing should be somewhere on this list as well.
