What are some of your favorite albums that you know, objectively, to be totally freakish albums where it sounds horrid, and you don't have any idea what the hell the artist or the band were trying to do or convey, but which you like anyway?

The Doo Rag album 'What we do' sounds like it was recorded on an old answering machine but it's one of the best records ever made, in my book.

I also really love the band king snake roost and none of their albums sound all that great.

I was definitely thinking of Groovy Hate Fuck, yeah.

I don't really know what constitutes a "catastrophe", but maybe something like "Philosophy Of The World" by The Shaggs fits the bill.

Any of several Boredoms related records I have, the UFO or Die record being a prime example.
Man, it's a fucking insane mess and I don;t even know what's going on with it but it's awesome to listen to loud as fuck.

So predictable, but the Flaming Lips' Telepathic Surgery is one giant beautiful mess. It's like they're trying to out-rock themselves on each track, and what the fuck is "Hell's Angels Cracker Factory" trying to prove? Twenty plus minutes of audio fuckery and a James Brown sample. The sequencing is just fucking terrible. Weird fucking rock record but it's my favorite.

Need more time to be not so predictable.
