john peel was enormously influential. can't dispute that. but with all due respect, he himself didn't create a single moment of noteworthy music.

hendrix chokin' on (his own) vomit is my pick for number one. completely revolutionized rock's primary instrument, then dead at 27. hard to beat for crappiness.

watching him play in the footage from _live at monterey_, or even woodstock, it's impossible not to wonder what the hell he would have done had he lived.

She is not Faye Dunaway.

But she is beautiful. The NBC makeup team must have done a good job covering up the bruises that day.

You'll find her if you go to Yahoo! and search "mel korn martin fischbein chewy".

Her story is interesting to me because everyone finds it so tragic. Oh! How tragic! Whatever. Her story is just pathetic and boring.

Do not play along with her charades. Do not feel so dirty when she starts talking cute.

I certainly don't want to set myself up as a champion of the 'Smith, but I was talking the great Wink O'Bannon last time I was in Louisville, and he agreed with me that "Mama Kin" (from Aerosmith's debut) is the equal of anything on either New York Dolls record--except "Vietnamese Baby."

Brett Eugene Ralph, I cannot agree with this. Not only do I strongly dislike "Mama Kin", but I thoroughly enjoy that first Dolls album (and the second one is pretty good too).

I'm with you, placeholder--I love both Dolls records. I was just trying to emphasize what an uncharacteristically killer song "Mama Kin" is.
