This friend of mine is not a monster. He's one of the nicest, most caring, most giving guys I've ever known.
Unfortunately, he's also only attracted to kids. What am I supposed to say to him if he gives in to this attraction? "You're a fucking disgusting human being, get out of my sight, stop talking to me?" No. I honestly don't know how I would handle it if I heard he did something. Probably, part of me would blame him and part would sympathize.
He's courageous, though. He's dealing with it. That doesn't sound like what a monster would do. He's more courageous than I am. I don't have anything heavy like that to deal with.
