Crappity crappy crap.
this topic needed to come out.
I just read about her new covers album. The article said she did another eight years ago. That's exactly the moment I first thought she was crap. I guess i liked her until then. I just didn't realize 8 (eight!) years had passed.
Shit i'm not getting younger.

92i liked "what would the community think?" for a while when it came out. then i sold it. now, when i hear a track in a film or somewhere else out in the world, i enjoy it as a soundtrack, but i can't actively listen to it.

93Everything up till 'We are Free' is really good.

94I thought I had posted in this thread. But no.
I saw her on the Covers tour. Just her and her guitar. Apart from one song which was interrupted by a brief burst of craziness, it was magical.
I took my dad to see her on the You Are Free tour.
He described her performance as "the most excruciatingly embarrassing thing he has ever seen a human do on stage". It was horrible.

95I have seen her play both awesome shows and ones where she started crying and ran out the front door of the club after a half a song.
I posted it elsewhere, maybe in this thread but at one show she just started banging her head on the piano keys, it lasted a good ten minutes straight. Bang Bang Bang Bang. People were pretty uncomfortable, nobody knew what to do or say.
She snapped out of it and kinda stumbled through one or two more songs and just left. Walked out the front doors and got in a cab and rode off. Lights on. Music up. Entire show, maybe 15 minutes.

Yeah. For me, it's a string of 5 good records. The newest one sounds just sounds forced. Oh well.

It's the only way I'll be able to achieve the sound I hear in my head.

97I liked The Greatest a lot despite having one of the worst album covers I can think of. Seriously, the purple and gold foil combined actually provoke a physical discomfort in me.
