Hmmm...

Everybody has a different opinion on both of these bands' albums (see the threads about the best Unwound and Polvo albums).

Polvo's EPs (Celebrate the New Dark Age and This Eclipse) are pretty amazing. Exploded Drawing was recorded by Bob Weston and is also a double album (it's awesome). Today's Active Lifestyles tends to be the LP that most people like best.

Unwound's swan song, Leaves That Turn Inside You, is probably their best album...but if you like nerdy EA bands/the "Albini sound," then you'll probably like Repetition.

It's hard to go wrong with these bands.

Leaves Turn Inside You confounded me for a little while (due to my love of nerdy EA bands).

I picked up "challenge for a civilized society" at b-side, there was another one there, maybe their self-titled, it was all black, two discs? I'm listening to it for the second time, really like it so far. kinda reminds me of the good parts of sonic youth, and dynamics of drive like jehu. I didn't see any polvo there.

Unwound no question as far as who I prefer to listen to, but I don't really think it's fair to compare the two it's just a different style of music.
