Albumdome: Spiderland vs. Goat

I don't care about Goat at all. I listened to it over and over for a while because it's a classic and I wanted to get into it, and while there are moments I love (I'm thinking of the "NO!" part at the end of Monkey Trick), it's simply not a record I ever feel like putting on.

Spiderland, well, every song on this album has given me chills down my spine at some point, and Good Morning Captain still does it every time I listen to it - even sometimes when I think about it.

I wish I liked the Jesus Lizard more. I really love Scratch Acid, they're one of my favorite bands from that time.

As a person who abuses drugs frequently, and as a person who enjoys masterpiece's like "Goat".....

I'm going to have to go with Spiderland.

Seeing it live while high on mushrooms and drunk off of free beer put me in a trance they dished out very well.

I listen to Goat all the time, but ultimately I'm loyal to the dragon.

Spiderland.

Both albums rule. I don't know what "waffle factor" is but if I were to utilize it through my assumptions of what I think it might mean, my post would be an IHOP.

Both of those albums are in my all-time favorites list, but I listen to Goat much, much more often than I listen to Slint. Someone mentioned that Slint is right for all moods. I disagree. I have to be in a special sort of mood to opt for Spiderland, but Goat is something that suits me most of the time, as long as I haven't just finished listening to it. I can't listen to any album (unless I just got it that day) more than once in a day, or I'm on tour and I have no choice (no radio player and only so much music).

I go with GOAT.
