I m Not Here To Make Friends

i think so, yes.

at the same time, i'm not here (at work) to make friends. that doesn't mean i'm not open to it, just means i place no emphasis on it.

in fact, my short boss included in my evaluation:

"Finally, Enframed needs to work on developing an informal friendly relationship with other parts of The Organisation since he will have to rely on various departments[...] shows a need for Enframed to understand the soft politics of effective team building."

i copied and pasted that out of an email.

i told him in a few more words that i fuckin hate mind-numbing water cooler chit-chat, that i keep work squarely separate from play, and that i would like the word "politics" left out of my review.

he said that for his personal style he prefers to shoot the shit at the water cooler. i said that's fine but i get my work done without it.

FUCK!
