I'm not gonna put them up in this thread, though! I mean hell, Agostino from Uzeda posts on this board. Did you ever think to ask him if he'd be cool with you putting this stuff up?
Chris, it is possible that the guy who posted the Uzeda does not know that Agostino posts here. Hell, I didn't know that and I've been around for a while.
The T&G thing is interesting. Music is changing. The way music is consumed is changing. The way it is recorded is changing. The way it is distributed is changing. Everything about it is changing.
Hello. I posted the Uzeda Peel. Couple things:
1) Chris/Comrade, you may have a point about asking Uzeda/Ago; I did not know he posts here but I think the issue is not that he'd see it up but rather that Strange Fruit or whichever label released it has not made it available for years. I am going to assume Ago wants his music heard. Perhaps I am wrong.
2) Boys, please don't drag me into the _separate_ issue of T&G trying to control its music. I've got nothing to do with that guy that got the take-down notice thingy. That's his problem and I don't think you should tie me in with him.
However, I have an opinion: I worked at T&G for many years, and can tell you quite plainly that Corey and the staff are awesome, they love music, love helping bands, are beyond fair in business, and should not be seen as uncool for wanting to put the ki-bosh on unauthorized sharing of their catalog. T&G is not some shitty major trying to squeeze kids for their lunch money, and it's not right to get angry with them for simply exercising their rights on behalf of their bands. (Also, perhaps the cds the guy had posted are o.o.p. but currently legally sold by T&G as dl's? I don't know, just speculating.)
Incidentally, around 1996 or so some of the T&G staff were treated to a fine dinner cooked by Uzeda... Either Davide or Raffaele made some sort of awesome breadcrumb pasta... It was insanely good!
