I have a hamer tele(t-51). I love it. Unfortunately, the thin uncomfortable strap I can no longer deal with. It also slides downward when I am playing. Making my playing even more sloppy. What's a good brand or style of strap that is comfortable and doesn't slide? Anyone?

levy. it's leather, won't slide like nylon ones. pretty sturdy too. and costly.

I'm not sure, Fly, Levy's don't fit Telecasters in my experience.

i use a cotton fender strap with my tele and i'm happy with it. very comfy.

My black elastic-foamy one stays plenty put. It's called the Comfort Strapp(tm) and it is a backsaver.

Dickies makes straps. Those are nylon, but nice and sturdy. Mine is actually pretty thick, a sort of two-ply strap.
The leather ends are a fuck of a lot better than, say, Ernie Ball's leather ends. For being three years old, it still looks new and has never popped off; this is without strap locks. It should fit your Tele AOK.

Levy's with the brushed leather on the inside,they are about $40. Much better
than some 2" wide slippery nylon thing that I am pretty sure everyone has at
least one too many of. You will need a decent strap for when you decide to
pickup a $5000 goldtop(or $300 copy) anyway.
