I got my 'yes' today.
On a totally unrelated note - does anyone have a resource (book, etc.) they'd recommend that explains how to read music for the guitar? A friend of mine wants to know in the next month or so.
Thanks!

I can teach "your friend."
I hope me, you, and Vockins are all in the same section so we can snark about other people.

33Although a day late, I got my confirmation email yesterday....WOOOHOO.
And the best part is that there is overnight storage for equipment so I don't have lug my giant 2x12 tall cabinet and 40 pound head up to columbus and 60th 4 days in a row...Thank god. Now i need to figure out which guitar to use.

34I was talking to a communal friend who has played with Rhys before, and he told me that the score is pretty simple, and parts of it are verbal.
Listening to the 400 guitar version, I think it's safe to assume there's nothing in it that cannot be learned in a few hours of practice.

35Damn, I was chosen for this as well, but I just found out I have a gig in Lithuania on the 14th and on top of it I'll be in NYC for that week practicing.
Frustrating.

Yes, only for the 12th an 13th for practice, then I fly with your GVSB band to Lithuania for a festival show, I'm filling in for Johnny. I really can't bitch about it too hard, but man, I so wanted to play that Chatham show.
I'm sure there will be other opportunities.
