Little details from your day

Today I have been clean for thirteen years. Because I was thirteen
years old when I started drinking and getting high, this anniversary seems numerologically more significant than some previous ones.

I am gonna go home, cook some good food, and listen to all those records I bought in Nashville yesterday. I'm totally out of control--addicted, you might say--to buying LP's. I even bought a Fugs record.

That really is quite an achievement. Congratulations, and raise a tonearm to good health.

Odd. I have also been clean 13 years, as of some time in April. I started smoking teh weed at 11 years old, though. When the children of hillbillies and the children of hippies start hanging out, stuff happens.

Congratulations, sir. Yep. Congratulations.

my little detail:

I swam for 30 minutes today for the first time in a couple of years. I can still swim 50 meters in just over a minute. All this fat is serving as a dandy flotation aid....

I'm hobbling around like a gimp and groaning like an old man every time I have to get up or walk.

Hey! My right knee is fucked! Let's be buddies!

The stupid thing is, all that hapened is that I simply fell over because of my stupidely slippery shoes. And grazed my knee and elbow like a bastard. At first I thought it was nothing, but it turned out that I got a massive scab ; it's big and also quite deep, which means the skin around it is pretty much constantly pulling on it because it's too tight. It's also surrounded by an enormous green looking bruise that makes my knee look like it's getting mouldy. Nice. That was 10 fucking days ago and it's still really painful! It's taking bloody ages to heal and it's super annoying.

Salut, Brett.

I have not had a problem with substance abuse (unless sno-caps count) but I can imagine that those 13 years were not always sunshine and lollipops.

I tip my hat to you, sir.
I make music/I also make pretty pictures
