It was a good idea I called off work today. BORIS last night really wore me out and then today turned out to be one of the hottest of the year, if not the hottest so far. It's so goddamn hot that even as I sit here and type this, I'm sweating in the coolest place of my house.

As a Buddhist, I try not to look at my life as the "good" and the "bad" parts or as some kind B.C./A.D. before-and-after I got clean.

That said, I'm really, really glad I don't get fucked anymore.

Biggest guitar victory moment thus far: I am in the middle of composing my first fingerpicking composition. It's, of course, very Fahey-esque.

I feel incredibly satisfied.
