Batman: Bruce Wayne, 55 years old at the time of his "death". He gave up the Batman identity ten years prior to the beginning of the story


At no point has Christopher Nolan ever said he was taking any story elements from Frank Miller, though. He's been using the Jeph Loeb/Tim Sale Long Halloween series as a reference (granted, they got most of their mobsters from characters used in Year One, but still).
