It was more like eighty people, really, it's just that the Concert Cafe was a large space, and eighty doesn't look like much. More than fifteen, though. And the guy directly in front of Steve was no high schooler with an NIN shirt, he was my drummer (and still is), and I swore I had played him the "Billiardspielerlied" single. Oh well.
My big memories of that show include the longest-I've-ever-seen "Billiard Player Song," during which Bob looked seriously bored. And I finally got to ask if anyone ever found the coat. Also, one of the crazy people came up to me, grabbed me on the shoulder and yelled in my ear. I couldn't understand what she was saying, but my shoulder burned for a few days. That was creepy.
