I just found this out and there are too many coincidences involved to miss out.
I will be in Paris with my family 9-13 Sep, 12 Sep is my birthday and this seems to be part of a festival so we might be able to rock up with our 6 year (almost :) ) old son.
All I need now is some kind French PRF'er to translate and explain what are the ticket conditions and will we be able to go "tutto completo"

As far as I can see, it is wonderfully complex even in the French version of the site.
It does mention reductions for youngsters but purely trying to book on the web, you only get the option to book adult price tickets. It would appear you have to book tickets separately tickets for each of the 2 shows. There appears to be reductions for booking tickets for more than one show though. About 3 euros per adult.
It may be that this reduction kicks in automatically when you have more than 1 set of tickets in your panier (basket) but it is not clear and I wouldnt bet on it.

I think the only way you can hope to get any reductions is to ask someone in Paris to help you and buy the tickets in person from a fnac (chain store) or from the venue. Unfortunately I don't live there and don't know the venues/stages.
Sorry I cannot be more helpful than that

You can buy tickets for three shows (abonnement in french), it gets you a reduction that's equal to the tarif jeune.
The cité de la musique is a classical music oriented auditorium, 2000 seats i guess, absolutely child friendly.
The cabaret sauvage, i've never been there, but can tell you it has a circular stage, is non smoker like all venues in france. It's also 5 minutes walk from the cité de la musique.

Here is the page to get an 3 shows formula with better price, you just multiply the number of people at the bottom of the page. I wouldnt count on getting reduced tickets at the door in this festival, it's probably gonna be sold out.

OK I called the venue today and (I think) I purchased the tickets together with the child rebate :)
The reservation clerk advised me that you can't get the child rate over the web...

Now back to concert searching for the rest of our Sydney to Sydney round the world trip:
Polvo on the 31st of Aug in LA seems to be set (just waiting for venue details)
Anybody has any suggestions for New York shows between 4-8 Sep?

Happy times
