13I have 'The Dirt of Luck' which I like all right, and 'Magic City' which doesn't do anything to me. Still, NC.

14In all capitals like that, HELIUM made me conceptualize a band that consisted of Alvin and the Chipmunks playing HEALTH covers.
Life...life...I know it's got its ups and downs.

15Pirate Prude is great, as were the 7" tracks I've heard, I liked Magic City a lot, but I've never heard Dirt of Luck. Next time I see it, I'm going to buy it.
Not crap!

Don't shun it. Fun it.

16Not Crap, she's a really cool person as well. Funny as fuck. I like the way she plays guitar a lot.
Check out the Autoclave record if you like her stuff.

17Mary Timony sounds bored. I can't put it much better than wikipedia: "[Timony] was also known for her fairly husky, vibrato-less, monotone singing style"
And the music sounds...lazy.
Maybe the sum of all of this is appealing somehow somewhere, but it's not for me yet.
Poop.

18Dirt Of Luck is a great album. The singing is kind of lackadaisical, but I don't mind at all because Mary Timony has a beautiful voice which suits the singing style.
I also enjoyed a solo album that my friend played for me a couple times. Don't know the name...there were medieval-y bits in the music, but nothing that I actively disliked.

Try crazy. Mary Timony always sounding like she was going for some type of soothsaying schizophrenic with no affect thing.
Fuck if "Magic Box" isn't a fantastic song. If you haven't listened to it to death yet, shame on you. Here it is.
