1 day in Glasgow - what to do?
5Well worth popping into Monorail (12 Kings Court), a fine record store, it's a little schlep from the city centre but aside from being an excellent record shop it has an adjoining cafe/gig venue. The 13th note (50-60 King Street, decent pub/gig venue/cafe) is just a short walk away and might be a good spot for lunch too.
Definitely ride the dinky subway. There's a lot more to Glasgow than the West End but for a first visit it's worth a wander around and usually makes a very good impression, get off at Hillhead for the Byres Road. One of my favourite cities in the UK, I wish I got to visit more often.

6Heroin supper, £2.99!
I walk these streets, a loaded six-string on my back.

8Oh thanks, cjh. Will definitely check out that record store - my gentleman friend will be most pleased.
I forgot the most important question:
Is there anywhere to get good coffee in Glasgow?

That was fucking funny. If only every stupid cunt who says to me "do you still deep-fry Mars Bars?" and thinks it's witty could actually say something that is actually humourous.
Anyway, maybe check out the Kelvingrove art gallery since it's back open now. And get a pint in Nice N' Sleazy's assuming the refurbishment a while back didn't ruin it. I haven't been there for a while.

Forget about the coffee. Go to Tchai Ovna and get some tea and a shish pipe.
