That's funny. I shot my lawnmower and it wrote the sequel to The Sound and The Fury.

It was probably the magneto. Many mowers are thrown out needlessly because of a toasted magneto. They're not too expensive to fix.

Maybe it was a yuppie lawnmower and the guy just momentarily lost his cool.

No way, it was a Lawn Boy...Honda mowers are the hi-end brand.

On the 4th of July I was tempted to take my DVD player out into the yard and shoot it. It was this no name brand crappie DVD player that was only used for about a year and started failing. We had nothing to watch and this machine was just ruining my night. My neighbors were lighting up the hood with tons of fireworks (it was like a war zone) so I asked my wife if I could take the dvd player out side and put a hole in it. I also told her that I knew full well that it was illegal to discharge a firearm inside city limits but that I could probably do it on the sly and no one would notice in the midst of the fireworks exploding.

I would have worn eye protection and used a proper backstop.

Well of course my wife didn't sign off on the possible arrest and I didn't get to shoot the DVD player.

Someday I hope to have a place in the country where I can indulge my occasional whim to put large caliber holes in pro and semi-pro electronics.

It's safe people I'm telling you.

If I took my guns to work with me, that goddamn copy machine would be dead about a hundred times over.
