From what I've heard, super nice guy, can't picture him as an attack dog VP type, which is what a lot of people were expecting.
Previous Governor Mark Warner had promised this one guy a sweetheart deal on some land right by my house so that he could turn it into a parking garage. Once Kaine got into office he essentially told the guy to go fuck himself because the space was better off used for a lab for the hospital across the street.
Very well liked among blue collar workers.
