But please tell me that you are kidding.
Please tell me that this casual toss-off of a comment is not your starting position for the legitimacy of any type of public policy position.
You see, if "annoyance" is your starting point for the legitimacy of any type of public policy position, then you are nothing more than a judgmental loser with a perspective on public policy that extends no further than your nose.
God, "annoyance" turns into "health" turns into "public safety". And then the cuntz carry the day.
You know, I once refused to make the "slippery slope" argument based on my respect for the crazy concept that is "logic" -- and with the assumption that reason would impose itself upon the generation of federal, state and local law (e.g., in re: gays, guns, drugs, etc.). However, and with the knowledge that there exists the likes of motivated and craftily-funded lunatics who seek to enact laws based on personal preferences (or, more scarily, the collective indifference to such preferences), I take nothing for granted.
Take this shit casually, and you'll soon be ordering your 10x-priced cold gruel at "your neighborhood" Applebee's as you watch a fat white "Christian" woman high-fiving her friends as they turn the key on the lock of your rock club.
We are well past the point of the luxury of accusing one another of paranoia.
Guard your little liberties with the ferocity and singlemindedness of a mother grizzly. And defend with rusty bayonets those folks who would do what they wish to do, even if it chafes your hide.
Please trust me on this point.
Boring-ass pot smokers!
I support the right for you to spark up anywhere someone allows you to grill!
And I am a remarkable shot!
