Closing. Jesus The Christ.

Shit fuck damn. The Tigers had this one-pitch Farnsworth once already. Crazy stupid to trade the franchise for him.

I don't know that I'd call Pudge the franchise, but I do agree that adding Farnsworth seems dubious. The Tigers need some bullpen help, but I don't know if he's it. They need a closer, not another set-up guy. At least he's been pitching pretty well this year.

Today I bad mouthed Billy Beane for the first time in years.

This is not the 2008 Athletics team I envisioned...
Segment Two: Servo falls in love with Joel's new blender, but the courtship turns sour when Joel drinks from Servo's girl. Undeterred, Servo flirts with the coffeemaker, until he realizes he's a guy.

On the topic of Pudge...trades involving future first ballot hall of famers don't happen every day. I scratch my head thinking they traded him for a career journeyman with a horrible record. I don't get that one at all...how does that improve the Tigers? He was solid when he was with the Braves, but that seems like forever ago, now.

Manny is a douch nozzle. Money grubbing scum. Helluva bat. I think those years around Albert Belle really fucked up his perspective on the game.

Griffey...adds another bat to the lineup...especially a left which I think they really need. I'm a Cardinal fan and don't watch much other than highlights but other than Thome and A.J., who else hits from the left side?

Now the fuckin' Cardinals better do something to sure up their wretched bullpen or they're cooked.

It's a good fuckin' year to watch baseball. I'm diggin' it the most.

I guess Torre finally got Manny after all these years.

He is an absolutely mercenary fuck but he's still a legend. Two World Series and so many amusing memories from over the years. Just Manny being Manny. Salut, big guy. Good luck on the west coast.
