Did it ever occur to you that you're--perhaps subconciously--making it sound like it's *not* your fault by calling it something that "happened" to you?

A dude cut you off is what happened to you. You chose to get out of your car and slug him. Getting punched *happened* to him.

Punching someone who's sitting in a car is sucker punch.
I agree with Marsupialized on this. A sucker punch is against a completely unsuspecting person. Once someone storms towards your car, you have reason to expect that you might get punched. I wouldn't even call Marsupialized's punch a dirty punch. The guy could have been ready with a screwdriver that he jammed into M's eye, or he could have maced him and then gotten out of the car and turned the fight his way.

It really pisses me off when you post things that make me laugh. I much prefer the one dimensional Rick Reuben - easier to get a bead on.

Good job, I get cut off and harassed by all cars but especially SUV's cause I'm on a bike. I'm thinking about carrying around mace so I can spray it in people's face when they yell at me. There is nothing wrong with justified violence I don't care what anyone says, we live in a violent world. but I'm probably just a really angry dude.

Punching someone who's sitting in a car is sucker punch. He wasn't facing you, he couldn't swing. I'm guessing you wouldn't have been such a tough guy if that weren't the case.

I walked up and said 'get out of your car so I can stomp your fucking head into the street, you cocksucker' I think those were my exact words. He was looking right at me as I said it. He had all kinds of warning what was coming. He could have easily exited the car at any point in the altercation and begun a regular type fistfight. In fact I am pretty sure that was my intention. Stupid, yes. Suckerpunch, no.
