when all the money collected at the door will be spent for:
-to build a school for orphan childrens;
-to buy food or clothes for abandoned poor people;
-to create a structure to guest aged,sick,deaf persons;
-to buy technical equipment for disable persons;
-to build an hospital for people that can't afford an health insurance;
-to..........etc.etc...etc...etc;

Pay to play because of an opportunity of "success"????
C'mon ,that already happened long time ago,when(in the 80's-90's)
the biggest clubs in London 80's-90's sniffed the possibility
to make money understanding that musicians from
all over Europe dreamed to play in that city.
