These guys still seem like hothouse flowers to me. I liked them when I first heard them, but there's no real staying power, and lots of qualifiers to it being interesting. The riffs are fun, but they never seem to go anywhere or exist as compositions, they just shift from scene to scene. There are some bands that I'm okay with that from - Don Caballero certainly has a lot of that, or Raymond Scott for that matter - but for some reason not with these guys.

Maybe it's because of some unpleasant personal interactions I've had with members of the band, but I don't usually hold that against music.
