my voice tends to crack. not like a high pitch crack, but static like, it breaks pitch when I'm switching lower, or higher notes. maybe I should just record it, and link it here, that might help with some input on it maybe.
Singing involves a lot of psychology obviously, but it involves a whole lot of phsyicality as well. The muscles used for singing need to be strengthened and trained. Some folks just figure out a way subconciously and sing a whole lot, others make good use of some training.
The problem you mention above is a familiar one but maybe instead of focusing on that issue, you might want to consider a comprehensive approach. Whether you do some kind of lessons of just start singing a lot, strengthening your voice physically and getting comfortable psychologically are the important things. Otherwise, it's a bit like someone trying to lose their gut by "targeting" their abdomen and doing 50 sit-ups everymorning but not much else. That said, there are exercises that do adminster to register breaks and so on, but they're part of a bigger picture.
