As of a couple days ago, I'm officially a resident of Columbus. While mooching wi-fi off the neighbors has been sufficing so far, I'd like to be able to actually sit at a desk while I type instead of moving my computer as close to the door as possible and not have to move my computer around every couple of minutes to restore the signal.
I checked out the main providers in town and they're kind of expensive - AT&T is like 35 a month for DSL service and the TimeWarner cable internet service is like 45. Being a grad student, I'd like to spend what little money I have on books, beer, or on some occasions, food that I need to eat.
Are there any local services that provide cheap internet? When I lived in Santa Cruz in California, there was some local phone service that provided internet for like 15-20 a month. Any dealies along those lines would be fab.
thanks!

3You might try Clearwire if they have that in the area.. I'm in Dayton, around 40 miles from you, and Clearwire is a kind of cellular internet, always decent speeds in my experience, recommended if it's in the area, and fairly cheap.
