Band: Death From Above 1979

I don't know, they just sound like they would be at home on a bill with My Chemical Romance or something.

43Saw them play on a completely inappropriate bill a few years back, don't think they had the 1979 bit then. They were loud, vulgar and appeared to scare the crap out of a few hundred Killers fans, temporarily half-clearing the venue in the process. On that front, I quite liked them.
Hearing the album, I found it hard to believe it was the same band. What had come across on stage as chaotic, dynamic and energetic had been reduced to something much milder and I was fairly disappointed.
It's alright for for what it is so I shan't vote them crap, I'll just leave 'em to the wolves as their penance for going disco..

this is a stretch. death from above is no where near the same ball park as that crap.

46Not Crap but it makes me really sad that a motherfucker would do a band like this and then run off and do shitty hipster-techo in the appallingly-named MSTRKRFT.

47I first caught this band on Conan, and it was the only performance I was actually blown away by. About a year after, I saw QOTSA with NIN, and Death From Above opened. They put on a really intense and noisy show.
I can see how people can be turned off by their dancey stuff, I'm not big on dance rock either, but this duo was great. A definite not crap.

It's the only way I'll be able to achieve the sound I hear in my head.

48Not Crap. You're A Woman, I'm A Machine has a special place in my eardrums and remains a great summer driving record. BUT there are better d&b rock bands you could be listening to!

And those three definitely aren't worth it. I'm pretty sure that Amour Fou and especially Whitey Houston are both joking. The few songs of Bel Riose I've heard are just plain boring.
