Someone gave me the first Kiss album a few years ago, as a semi-ironic birthday gift. They were my first "favorite" band when I was about 7 years old. Listening to that album now, I was amazed at how bad it was. Seriously--I was floored. The drumming in particular sounds like Peter Criss had never touched a drum kit until a day before the songs were recorded.

Therefore: crap.

Three really good KISS songs nobody ever talks about:

"Let Me Know" from KISS

"Love Her All I Can" from Dressed to Kill

"Mr. Speed" (my favorite KISS song) from Rock and Roll Over

My affection for this band has waned considerably since I was a kid, but those three songs still get the job done.
