I really like "Out On The Weekend" too - there's this certain chord he hits in the chorus that is just fantastic - but Harvest ain't Neil's best by a long shot. "Out On The Weekend" is one of the few songs on there I like.

I take it these five are a good place to start with Neil Young?

I would start with Zuma, but I am biased. From Houston's list...

zuma
on the beach
tonight's the night
rust never sleeps
comes a time

that's just me though.

I can not stress the awesomeness of zuma enough. I listen to it probably once a week.

Hmmm... This is hard. Best I can do is this:

1) Zuma
1) On the Beach
1) Tonight's the Night
1) Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere (the classic Crazy Horse tracks; don't listen much to the others, actually)
1.5) the unreleased Chrome Dreams
2) Trans
2) Reactor (really, folks, it does have its moments)

...though the 2s could be replaced/swapped out depending on the day and the mood.

This got me thinking...

I hereby request that the Bottomless Pit work out a version of "Lookout Joe." In my head I hear it as an Andy-on-lead-vocals song.

Thank you.

Funny, as I had always wanted SKWM to storm through "Powderfinger" with TMidgett on vox.

Tim (if you're reading), have you guys ever recorded any NY covers?
