since the conventional wisdom is that "you're all winners" my division decided to have a company "award and recognition picnic." unless one of the categories is "most time spent on the prf" i don't think i'm deserving of one of these awards.

i don't think anyone goes above and beyond at work. you're job is your job. there's no such thing as supererogation in the workplace.

the flyer for the event said to dress casual. my short boss is wearing his rugby jersey. look at me! i should send out an e-mail to everyone but him requesting the NO ONE ask him about the jersey but he'd bring it up anyway. i almost brought a flask full of absinthe but i don't want to get fired.

Last night, as usual, I was woken up around 2 by drunks yelling and stumbling down milwaukee. These guys were fratty tie wearers, three of them, one held a big club. I'm not sure how he got a club or why but he had it. On my corner they stopped and smashed up a sun times box with the club. Then they continued down milwaukee. What?

yesterday we took my son and a friend to great america (theme park) in santa clara. we went in and went on the rides we hadn't been on yet (i hadn't been there since 1980, the demon was then the best ride there) and the demon and left. we met a friend from oakland at in-n-out and went to starbucks (there's nothing else around) and had iced tea. we had hours to kill.

the barrista wrote "ice h20" on our friends cup of water. i had to wonder if this was a joke.

then we overheard a man say "if you can't beat it, take it." great america is today fittingly surrounded by such silicon giants as Nortel, Cisco, Yahoo, McAfee, and others.

it was then i realized i'd never been surrounded by so much upward mobility in my life.

So...a couple years ago I did a content management system for this band. The connection was through a designer I work with, who knew the band's US management (or something like that). The designer just emailed me to tell me that the band is now branching out...into real estate development.

and on the way back home, in my street, surrounded by people cause there was a big event on the main square near where i live, i caught a guy, lying on a car receiving a blowjob from a girl (both apparently drunk, in their twenties or something...)
i stopped, watched at the guy who watched back at me, we were at 2meters from each other, but he just smiled and the girl didn't even bother to raise her head...

very disturbing scene...
i mean they weren't even hidden, they were by the sidewalk, on the parking lane.....
wtf ?

I can almost beat this.

When I was 15, I went to a show downtown which ran extremely late. Like, last call two hours ago late. Like, my dad on the phone screaming at me late. I give him a call to tell him I'm on my way, but since there was such a ruckus in the street due to drunks just wandering around yelling, I ducked into an alley and bumped right into a guy receiving a blowjob. Basically knocked him over on top of the girl who immediately started choking from the force of his final thrust. Before he could get up and beat the shit out of me, I started running, grabbed my ride, and ducked the fuck out in fear of a man who just had his evening beejer ruined.

Public blowjobs can fun but people really need to pick their fuckin' spots.
