What a patronising cock. Every Dutch person I know speaks better English than McLaren.

When it first starts, it's weird. Then, when the (presumably) Dutch interviewer begins asking him questions in perfect English, it does become, as you say, patronising in the extreme. Just one of the many, many fascinating aspects of this film. For example: he declares that Sky Sports will be delighted with the draw. Sky Sports didn't show the game.

I thought McClaren's 'Do I Not Like That' moment was going to be the umbrella, but he's outfoxed me with this one.

The Channel 5 news just showed some of the interview.

I can't imagine how he was ever employed in the first place.

Additionally, two of my friends have joined the League of Slackers. Peter Gwynne from Cardiff and Estuardo Cabron of Sydney. Hope nobody minds, they were adrift without a league otherwise. I figure the more competition, the better it will be.
