I'm sure we've all had this happen, where we have purchased an LP at a second hand store and when we inspect it at home, we have the cover coming apart. I have tried to re-glue with iffy results. Does anyone recommend a particular glue for this job?[url][/url]

A little Elmer's white glue has worked just fine for me. Don't overdo it - just enough to make 'er stick.

A dot or two of Titebond have worked for me in this application.

The best way to fix this is with a rubber glue applied thinly with a brush. Make sure to use the least possible amount to avoid any bubbling and cover the area on both sides for the best bond. Leave a heavy hardcover (in weight, not content) book on it a over night and be very careful that none drips over the edge to bind the sleeve to itself. This is an activity I do often these days so I'm pretty sure it's the most tried, true, effective and long lasting method.

You would be wrong in that assumption, sorry.

Dries flexible. Used in bookmaking. Even fancier and pH neutral is Jade 403 glue. You should be able to find either at art supply stores.

You may also want to pick up a bone folder to get a nice flat gluing.

+1. This is pretty much how I make all the sleeves for the Krakoa CDs with 200wt paper. One of these days I gotta make a template for a gatefold design. Fuck a jewel case.
