Paraphrasing Lewis Black: "Even with the gas prices it's cheaper than drinking in Chicago!"

A friend of mine knows Lewis Black and they go drinking when he's in town. The last time he was here, he wanted to go to Beaumont's.

Lewis Black, as funny as I think he is, is not allowed to make Chicago drinking jokes. Ever.

The internet?

I'd imagine you could turn your router off. Then your PC. Then sit in the cupboard under the stairs.

Dude, I've just finished my first year of EE - I think you'll find that if it was possible to turn the router or the PC off, I'd have found out about it by now...

Well, fortunately, the original joke, referring to liquor prices in Wisconsin, is this: "Even with the plane ticket it's cheaper than drinking in New York!"

So, ya know, liberal paraphrase.

Common message board practice: attempt to invalidate an otherwise sound argument by pointing out a simple error in spelling.

Another common message board practice: point, laugh and ridicule the newbie who asks a dopey or possibly offensive question, with spelling errors no less. If they take the much deserved ribbing in good spirit, they get some respect; if they take it badly and lash out, they get it worse.

I know you're not quite a newbie, since you first signed up in 2005, but at 32 posts, I think you still count.
