I may get laughed at for this one but i really love
the bass line from "Imaginary War" by Jawbreaker

and believe it or not the first bass line I ever learned way back yonder
"Believe" by Dig

and I guess for my cool answer

"Mama Gina" Shellac

I could go on and on about the song itself but i love the bass work in this song

'bout time someone said something. i was actually thinking i might be the first one to mention vern after 11 pages.

fuck yeah, unwound is the main reason i started playing bass. then came joy division and big black, the birthday party. his hero is gone.

also - i can't believe i haven't seen aston barret or robbie shakespeare mentioned. c'mon people...dub. it's all bass!

al cisernos. i don't think i've seen his name mentioned yet either.

and major kudos to the dude who mentioned "sieve fisted fine" by fugazi.

and lungfish. almost anything.

and "out on the tiles" - led zep.

"i'm a woman" - the shocking blue.

but to summarize:
unwound rules.
want bass? any fucking song on any record. too many to list. but i will say the bass line on "said serial" from their 7" on troubleman just fucking slays.

my worst post ever. my apologies.
